Featured this summer is lab of the Southern Sierra Critical Zone, a partner of the Sierra Nevada Research Institute. Come learn about how CZO scientists are working to investigate the Earth’s “Critical Zone,” focusing on how water, soils, and climate interact with processes from the subsurface to the atmosphere.
This event coincides with opening of another exciting exhibit at UC Merced Library called “SNAMP (Sierra Nevada Adapative Management Project) : Learning to Implement Adaptive Management in the Sierra Nevada.”
CZO co-Principal Investigator and SNAMP Water Team leader Dr. Martha Conklin (UC Merced Faculty of Engineering) will be featured as a guest speaker.
The event is open to the public and tere will be hands-on activities for attendees of all ages. Refreshments will be served.
